11 Entries So Far

It is still early days but the current entry for the 2017 edition of the IRC Double Handed National Championships is 11 boats.  The double handed fleet in the Solent alone is now large and significant.

The organisers feel that at least 25 boats are required to constitute a meaningful championship.  If this entry level is not met by 1st September the 2017 event will be cancelled (entry fees will be returned) and a suitable date found for the 2018 championship.

The 2017 race entry fee includes prizes and trophies, two event branded shirts per boat; berthing in Cowes Yacht Haven; tickets to supper on Friday evening and the event dinner on Saturday evening.  The Prizegiving will be held in Cowes as soon as possible after racing on Sunday.

There will be two races on both Friday and Sunday - a windward/leeward course followed by a ‘ round the cans’ course.  Saturday’s passage race to the Nab Tower and back will start and finish on the Royal Yacht Squadron line with the RYS cannon.

Notice of Race can be found here.

Please enter now here. The entry fee before 1st September is £245 after which it rises to £295.
