It’s a Sociable Sport!

Double handed yacht racing is probably one of the most sociable sports there is, well known for its ‘Après-Race’.  The format of the 2016 championships has been designed to enhance the social experience on top of great racing.

On Friday evening there will be a two course supper at the RORC clubhouse in Cowes.  Saturday sees the Prize-giving dinner at the same venue with a three course menu and coffee.  This is all included in the entry fee as is berthing in Cowes Yacht Haven.  With all the boats moored together sailors are encouraged to have drinks afloat before the short walk to the RORC clubhouse.

We realise that some will want their other-halves to attend the social events too.  Additional tickets for the Friday evening supper and Saturday prize-giving will be available at cost - £15 for Friday; £30 for Saturday.  Details will be sent to entries in due course.

With two full days racing, berthing and the social programme, great value for money is to be had from the entry fee.  The early entry deadline is Thursday 8th September, just two days away.  If you haven’t already entered please click here for details of the on-line entry process.  If you have already entered, we look forward to seeing you on the 16th.
